After a series of fantastic shows, Benjamin Koppel continues to celebrate Jazz Galla to pay tribute to another superstar, the
singer of them all; Whitney Houston, this time in Corsair.
With immortal classics such as How Will I Know, I Will Always Love You and I Wanna Dance With Somebody, Whitney, who sadly passed away in 2012, has left us with a song treasure that is still among the most played and loved.
Chaplain Benjamin Koppel brings together the habit of believing the best of the best from the world of the soloists and not least the rhythm group and inviting them to a musical summit.
This time Benjamin has invited two of DK’s wonderful soul voices Kaya Brüel and Marie Carmen Koppel to the celebration of Whitney Houston and her much-loved song catalog, in well-swinging jazz editions. Benjamin also has one of the leading rhythm groups in Denmark, among others. pianist Søren Bebe.
Since Jazz Galla’s first concert during Summer Jazz 2013, the ensemble has toured Denmark for full and enthusiastic houses. On stage, the soloists receive the musical backing of saxophonist and chaplain Benjamin Koppel, who is at the forefront of a team of outstanding and renowned Danish jazz musicians.
Time and again, Jazz Galla has managed to re-arrange, interpret and renew popular classics with a jazzy twist, at a variety of shows – this time being no exception.
